Percolator Paint Nights

Weekly 3-hour sessions are for artists of all walks: writers, painters, musicians, comedians... whatever your expressive language, you are welcome here. We start each session by reading from Stephen Pressfield's The War of Art, and then work on our projects.

Artist: Participated as one of 5 multidisciplinary artists in this month-long show
Artist Talks Host: Hosted the Artist Talks, an open exchange between guests and artists to celebrate the closing of the show


Writing Workshop for Valence Theatre. & Dance Co., March, 2015
Writing for Dance: Taught a writing workshop to support the troupe's upcoming Fringe Festival performance, Valence, in which dancers and the community were invited to submit written works that the dancers would then read and interpret through movement.

Science & Art Integration Project, Howard Middle School Academy for the Visual & Performing Arts, October, 2014
Volunteer project collaborating with a 7th grade science teacher to infuse her lesson on the electromagnetic spectrum with arts concepts. I taught the visible light portion of the EM spectrum, color mixing with light vs. with pigment, and mural painting techniques, then guided the class through a weeklong project in which they painted a 15 foot mural of the EM spectrum for science teachers to use in their future lessons.


Creative City Project, November, 2014
A multidisciplinary arts event taking place across indoor and outdoor venues throughout the downtown Orlando area celebrating creative expression through performance, visual, and spoken arts.
Reader: Served as the reader for Kobe Project's interpretive dance performance


Echo Alliance Arts Open House, October, 2014
An open house opportunity for attendees to learn basic techniques in visual arts, dance, and memoir writing.
Co-organizer: Collaborated with three other creatives to plan, advertise, and execute the event.
Instructor: Provided guest instruction in visual arts and memoir writing.
